Wow today was a good day for art! Dane and I made some progress on our guest book

I also (finally) downloaded the Zbrush trial, mostly to see how it would run on my computer. The good news is that it works great! Thank you 2.5D. Here is something I did just kind of messing around. My current thought is that I will probably end up getting ZBrushCore because it has most of the functionality I need and I'm not currently in a place where I have a lot of time to devote to hobby art (sadly!) Enjoy this bust, I'll probably keep working on it!

I don't think 3D Coat is a good match for me (/my computer, it is really laggy and sad). Maybe I'll have better luck with Zbrush????? idk

ok hi. Here is my great confession: I hate learning new software. I hate it so much. I feel like those dogs that you put mittens on. Like I can walk but it feels all weird and I'm so much worse at it. With that prelude I got a trial of 3D Coat bc I want to get some kind of sculpting software and it's like half the price of Zbrush and apparently its UV and texture painting tools are a lot better (which I don't want to do especially but feel like I ought to get over that lol) so we are giving it a shot. I am intrigued by the potential for voxel sculpting. so we'll give this trial and shot and see. Anyway here are some things I did

Some days I get really stressed out or just feel really sensitive emotionally and today was one of those days (we're going to the dmv tomorrow which I think is a big contributing factor). I feel like I'm very often hard on myself, especially when it comes to art, I always expect myself to be better than I am, I'm always disappointed in myself for not making enough time for it, I feel guilty when I only post doodles here. But tonight I doodled to relax a little bit and it felt really nice and kind of reminded me why I like doing art in the first place

weehee! Got the Tablet to work so I was able to draw in photoshop tonight! Having a tablet that's about the same size as the screen is a first for my personal setup and it's really nice ngl. Here's a sketch I did just to test out mostly, might come back and work on it some more
