Week Twenty, Day Three

Ok normally for this site I want to do a drawing during the day and complete it etc whatever. Well today's what something I started last winter break and never got around to finishing until today. I've been really feeling like I need to make some actual finished illustrations so I figured now would be as a good a time as any!!!

Anyway this is a redo of an old drawing/painting from 2011 because why not (actually I think at the time I was kind of feeling down on my art or something so I decided to redo an old piece to show myself that I have improved or something like that). I think the one from 2011 is not the worst piece ever (there are still a lot of things about it I like quite a bit!) by any means, but I can tell I've improved a LOT since then. so yay!

seriously I need to get back into the habit of doing this. It's been a crazy year.  Anyway even though I haven't been posting, I have been drawing! not as much since I turned in my application to the program, but it's ok because I got in! Anyway some of my friends and I are doing a book club thing and here's something from that I did yesterday and today:

Week Nine, Day Seven

heh heh hehhhhhhhhh. At church I've been drawing with my left hand the last few weeks because I try to give my right hand/wrist a break on sunday and this ridiculous undertale fanart happened:

I realised that because I don't draw for anything school related on sunday I can't count those days toward my overall page goal so that's why it went up quite a bit. Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to get lots of sketchbook drawing done!!

Week Nine (MONTH III), Day One

hi sorry to be so inconsistent but I'm going to try to be better. So tomorrow the day of marching, march will start and with that I'll have a month to get my animation portfolio together. It is going to be some CRAZY TIMES YALL. so my goal is just to have this new sketchbook filled up. Having done the math, that's an average of THREE PAGES A DAY. as evidenced by... literally every other time I've tried to pace myself on anything EVER, I will probably not succeed at doing actually three pages in my sketchbook every day, but I'm going to try. even though it's not technically march yet, I'm going to start today. so the theme for the month is just whatever it takes to get three quality sketchbook pages. wHERE DOIN THIS MAN WHERE MAKIN IT HAPEN. here's something from today:

uhhhh yeah I don't know what to tell you about last week. I did do some sundays sketches that I need to post but that's about it. the struggle is real don't judge. Anyway this week I am going to make my theme some wagnerian adaptations I've been thinking about doing lately. Mostly just some concept stuff obvi, but whatever. alright so last semester in my figure drawing class we had weekly sketchbook homework and theoretically I was going to redo all the assignments this semester but that hassss not really happened so I think for my 52366 this week I'm going to do some of  those. so I mean at least I'll have a couple more drawings for that done, right??? well here's a master's study of RT Barrett, the head of illustration here at BYU. hopefully I will do more than one drawing a day but we'll see.

Week Five, Day Seven

wooooooooo. survived another week. Since it was testimony mtg I drew the facs of a few of the ppl who bore their testimonies until I got tired of messing up everyone's faces (it is really hard to gesture draw a moving face for however long it takes them to bear their testimony) so I drew some robots for the last of this week's theme. I don't know why but this week's theme was weirdly difficult for me. Maybe I need more creativity I do not know
