Week Five, Day Three

Ok, remember how yesterday's painting was the epitome or awesome to me? Guess what today's is. That's right, positively abhorrent. But here it is, in all it's gewshness

SHOTR STORY STATUS: the version of this that I'm turning in for creative writing is done, but the "real" version I didn't work on too much today. I did, however, get some ideas from Bede's Ecclesiastical History of the English People that I will either apply to this story or have saved in the brain somewhere

Week Five, Day Two

This one is super cool and honestly, I don't feel like it's finished yet. This may be my favourite yet? It's up there. Anyway, I definitely need to do some more work on it (such as including a human person) and I will be sure to update when that happens but for right now I think it's pretty neat.

the biggest problem going on here is that I started with the darkest green of all time for my base and had struggles because of that. Also perspective is a little finicky with the trees. I'll work on it... Also converting this to a PNG left weird artefacts... gewsh get them out of there

Week Four, Day Six

Today was out of control because I went snow boarding for ~7 hours today. Luckily, I knew about this in advance and made plans to do some kind of drawing during school (does this make me horrible? I don't think so.) the ones I coloured in that are in colour are from today, everything else is from yesterday

backstory to ugly Martin Luther: when I took AP Euro, I would always try to draw the portraits that were in the slideshow, as fast as I could while still taking notes, which meant they came out 1) sloppy 2) ugly 3)hilarious. I haven't had a chance to do another one until now that I'm taking Western Civ part 2

Wow, writing today's title was a struggle. Anyway, I do like this a lot, and I stole from was inspired by Impressionism today and thus we have the below painting. I do have a complaint. It feel like there needs to be something else going on in that right third and I honestly cannot figure out what. Someday if I realise that more than anything else this painting requires robots or something in the lower third, I will come back and make that happen, but for now, here we are

my favourite part is the sky. I could scrap everything else and not be bothered, but that sky is lookin' good

I'm putting off writing this poem for creative writing, but while I was going that, I was listening to the song I'm supposed to basing my poem off of on repeat. I feel like that's all the explanation I'm going to offer for this

I'm not sure what's going on here. I like it nevertheless. We'll just chalk it up to "I have a surrealist streak" and move on with our lives.

Week Three

Oh man, this guy was a close one, wasn't it? Ok, so here's the deal: I incorporated this story into my piece for the day so they have to help each other in order to finish (you'll see what I mean when you see the piece) So I'm going to post the story right now so I can have it have been posted before midnight for sure. As for the piece... IDK. we'll see what happens. For all intents and purposes it's finished, I just need to focus on the thing that's tied to the story. Thusly: story. This way I don't have to panic about posting it in time for midnight. Its current wordcount is 1647 and I would guess I'm about 3/4 of the way through the story.

today I did this weird cityscape thing. I'm rather fond of it, as it happens. So, here we are I suppose. It didn't take that long, but I think that will be ok. I had fun with colours and my new brushes. I don't normally do textures, but I thought I'd try, but when I tried it, it just looked funky so I stuck with a plain background so I wouldn't have to worry about it (hooray laziness). If anyone has feedback I'd love to hear it.

speaking of censorship from yesterday... I tired to figure out a way to get the SOPA/PIPA blackout page to work, but my html fu is weak. So I did this by hand. I promise I'll fix it tomorrow

Week Three, Day Three - Inappropriate

SHORT STORY STATUS: I am going to go wordvomit something after I wordvomit this horrible "reading response" I have to do for creative writing (I thought I had it all done, but it turns out that we were allowed to do the poetry et al from the week before... so of course that was what I did. If it's all the same though, I ended up talking about Moby Dick the whole time)

I doodled in church today and I was pretty happy with my results so I scanned them and coloured in the ones I liked. And by the ones I liked, I mean all of that one character from Week Two Day Four, who I've decided to name Rhenedith

The words in the middle ish of the page are a quote from Portal, because the guy giving the talk was going on about how valuable our organs/skin/et c are and all I could think was "As part of an optional test protocol, we are pleased to present an amusing fact: The device is now more valuable than the organs and combined incomes of everyone in [SUBJECT HOMETOWN HERE]" but I'm bad at remembering exact quotes

Week Two

Alright kids, here's the dealio. Because this week is a joke, I have decided that I will post what I have for this story so far and my summation of parts that I still need to write so technically the whole story is still there, just in the roughest form of all time.

Let's see, this week I set it to people be able to add comments. I need to change last weeks to that, because I want to hear what people have to say if anyone actually reads this and also wants to comment. I'm especialy curious about how the anachronism is in this story for the readers. I want it to be confusing at first, but not so much that you can't piece it together eventually. any feedback on that would be great :)
